The trophy of the 50th anniversary of the Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix<\/p>\n
The times when a Formula 1 car was made of wood and steel are long gone. Today, aluminum reigns supreme, while carbon fiber and Kevlar add strength, lightness, and speed to the cars. By creating this trophy that pays tribute to the 50th anniversary of the Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix, I wanted to trace the history of Formula 1, integrating materials not only from the past but also from the future. In the past, brave pilots steered their cars using wooden steering wheels. Made of maple, the base of the trophy pays homage to those pilots of the time. The use of this wood essence also recalls the abundance of trees surrounding the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve, as well as the maple leaf, emblem of our country. A maple leaf, machined from solid aluminum and supported by carbon fiber rods woven with red Kevlar, tops this magnificent work. The aluminum has been anodized and bears a golden color, thus celebrating the 50 years of our legendary Grand Prix.<\/p>\n
