Its construction in inverted staircases symbolizes the efforts to be deployed and the years required to achieve a dream. With its multiple openings, which allow the observer to see right into the heart of the trophy, this contemporary totem evokes the concept of transparency: an essential quality for success.
Each level of the trophy features a unique cutout, creating a spiral effect. With this gesture, the creator sought to illustrate an important aspect of every great accomplishment: thinking differently.
The official signature (logo) of the competition has been repetitively exploited in elevation towards the sky, thus creating an effect of openness and expansion. In this epic creation, textures play a significant role: alternately, the exterior surfaces of each level of the trophy are either mirror-polished or brushed, symbolizing both the glamorous and the more obscure aspects of entrepreneurship. The ultimate symbol of the Personality of the Year Awards, the “Disruption” trophy is entirely made of Quebec aluminum that has been cut by water jet, machined, brushed, and hand-polished, giving it a strong, prestigious, and distinctive signature, mirroring each of its laureates.
